★ winter child - graphic contest ★

[GRAPHICS] Tutorial: Angst/Romance Poster

So I decided to maybe do some graphics tutorial since I won't be posting about Blogilates anymore... Let's get started!

I use Photoshop CS, so if you have anything higher than that, you're in luck!

I am going to use these two pictures of Kim Ye Rim and Choi Minho.

     

The trick for angst/romantic posters is to blend using a layer mask, and either desaturate the pictures, or using a dark texture.

1. Open photoshop and load your pictures.



2. Then load your background. You can use a black one, or any relatively dark background. I am using this one.



3. Resize your background to 1000x667 (widthxheight) and drag Ye Rim and Min Ho to the background. It does not matter who gets dragged first because you will blend them later on.

4. Create a layer mask for both characters. Then erase their background until you get something like this. Set your paintbrush to 90 (range) and 0 hardness.



5. From here, you can desaturate them or not, but to give the feel of angst (because I think both of them are way too bright), I will desaturate them. To do so, click on each picture layer and go to Image>Adjustments>Desaturate.

6. Then open these textures and do as follows.

  Mode:Linear Burn Opacity: 55

  Mode: Screen Opacity: 40

  Mode: Overlay Opacity: 35

It should look something like this:



7. Now for the text. From now on, you can add whatever text you prefer, but since this is a poster for a graphics contest I am entering, I am going to add my title, and credits.

#ThisIsMyJuly Day 30/31

Today's the last day of July! I'm in a bittersweet mood with Blogilates right now..however, today made up for it. I went to a lot of places today with le sexy new iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S4!! The phones came in the mail yesterday and I've been experimenting with them all day long~

And I returned to Twitter... haha. Link EXO's Growl dance version came out today, and I was spazzing when it uploaded. THOSE HOT MEN. UGH RUINING MY LIFE AND MY WALLET.

I just saw some previews of the album and wow. It's really amazing. The structure, cd, photobook, wow. Just wow.

I have something to say too... Um.. Since school will be starting in 15 days, I don't think I will have time to update every day like this. I get home late, and then I would have about 3 hours to eat and do more homework... Perhaps I won't even have time to do Cassey's daily workouts! But I know I will somehow put some cardio in there.

I am getting some cardio and arm workouts from a tennis class at school, so it's not like I'm giving up working out... So this might be the last time I'm going to post here for a LOOOOOOOOONG time. Although I will be active as a reviewer here: senseiempanda

Nothing really physically changed about me, except maybe a little of fat was shed off?  Just a little. I definitely gained weight from the muscle ohmergad. And I've been only drinking water and hating other drinks ew. Eating food wise, I've definitely made more healthy choices.

#ThisIsMyJuly

#ThisIsMyJuly and I'm really dead. Ohmygoodness. During the second to last video, I died. I hate using plates because... I just can't use them!!!! Or a towel for hard-floors. Eek

I got back on track today~ I ate super healthy and even made the dinner for my family! Being in the kitchen is like remedy for me. It's so soothing, calming, and keeps me on track!

As I said previously, I would wake up early and sleep early.. But I ended up watching a drama with my sister yesterday and slept at 2am.. LOOL So we both got out of bed at approx 10am... :/

I'm going to finish writing this, and go upstairs and prepare for bed... Maybe another 30 minutes on the iPad before I sleep? LOL STUPID TECHNOLOGY.

Oh, did I mention? Or have you heard? Gd gd baby baby. That's right bish. Gd is coming to KCON. And who else is going to KCON? Me. Le. This lizard right here. OH YEAH.

#ThisIsMyJuly Day 28

Today was a really healthy day..except I didn't do my workout. Some people visited my home, and I had no way to complete my pilates without being all awkward and yelling out noises... lol And someone annoying came over too. Ugh

Tasty's comeback trailer was released! Yay!! And I'm going to sleep early from now on. Need to prepare for school!
